question on telus diamond

I have to take my telus diamond back for them to check it out. This is due to only getting only 2 rings before VM kicks in and I cant take it anymore :-)
Tried everything I can find on the subject but no go.

Anyway whien I put the stock rom back on ( currently running Juicy's ) do I have to relock the phone or can I leave it unlocked ??

Thanks

Re: question on telus diamond

The # of rings before Voice mail is set by dialing a number followed by the number of rings. For Bell I think it's #93. It has nothing to do with the phone.

Maybe try this?

Adjust the number of rings before the call goes to your mailbox: Lift the receiver and press *94 - you will hear a dial tone. Enter the number of rings you want callers to hear (must be between 2-9), listen for 2 beeps, then hang up.

For me I think I did *9435 for 35 seconds of ringing because it's different if you're on the west coast or something...

I would suggest that you relock it, when I do returns, I always relock. Don't take any chances

Your query has nothing to do with returning the phone:)

I believe the *94 is for telus landline. I did it just last week with my landline vm. I tried it also with my cell, and I, too, had the call forwarding message. searched telusmobility and nothing comes up on ring time.

Re: question on telus diamond

Thanks, Guys.
I called Telus Tech last night and they said I could not do that *94 with the voicemail package I had. I would have to upgrade my voicemail, and pay 6/7 bucks/month..NOT
Called loyalty today and told them the problem and they upgraded me no problems and no charge so I can do the *94 thing now.
I did notice when I was on the stock telus rom I was getting a extra ring or two before the vm kicked in compared to Juicy's rom, not sure why but now I can go back to Juicy's.

So, to increase the number of rings before voicemail kicks in, I have to get a Telus rep to do it for me?
