GSM on Sprint Diamond?
 

i recall a patch for Sprints Diam500 model to activate the phones GSM, any idea how i would go about doing this?

secondly is there anyway to flash SIM card data to the Diam500? A friend was asking and im pretty sure its no....he wanted to buy my sprint diamond and throw it on at&t, is it at all possible? thanks

Completely and totally impossible. Sorry. The radios are physically different, and nothing done in software could ever make it possible for a CDMA Sprint phone to operate on AT&T's GSM network.

yea def wont work there is not even a place to put the sim card in the sprint diamond

No can do... CDMA hardware will not work on GSM. About the only thing he can get from AT&T that comes close to the Diamond (well, actually, to the Touch Pro) is the new Fuze.

i figured as much...i up to this point have only worked with gsm phones...know them inside and out...cdma is a new venture for me. The thing that bugs me is what is stopping the use of an application to flash with sim or ruim data and run personal info from inside the phone? After the modding of the first xbox and seeing the progression of how easy it got once developers really got into it i realized pretty much anything is possible if you dive deep enough when it comes to electronics. has it ever been looked into or tried?
