Re: Can't Move Files to Diamond????

Yeah, I look at a hard reset as the nuclear option, not ready to try that yet. Tried the soft reset first thing, of course, but with no luck.

I did find that by copying the .cab file I was trying to transfer to a different folder on my laptop, then dragging it from that folder instead of the usual location where my downloads reside, it worked. I'm still at a loss as to why, though.

One other thing to look at...is the CAB that you were trying to copy in a ZIP file? If it was, then you will HAVE to move it to a folder on your laptop, then to the Diamond. For some reason I have not been able to copy files out of a ZIP directly onto the Diamond using the Disk mode...

Bingo. Just tried it again and you got it. The .cab I was trying to move was in a zip file, I'd double-clicked the zip file, then double-clicked the folder, then tried to move the .cab file from there. While I can successfully drag the .cab to other locations on my laptop, it won't go to the Diamond.

Thanks, guess it's one of those "nature of the breed" things, I'll know to move it elsewhere from the zip file first next time!
