I have been syncing with my exchange server at work since I got my Diamond, and my Touch before that, and my Mogul before that, and my Touch before that.

I have never had a problem. But I also cannot help you as I need more specifics. What are the "problems" that it has been giving you? If you try to be more specific, I will try to help you.

What program are you using? I am looking for a way to do this? Do I need an actual third party program? I think I do...

I have an Exchange server at work, so I just use ActiveSync on my Diamond to connect to my server and keep it synced. If you don't have an Exchange server you can use any one of a million Exchange hosting services or there are a few free ones available. Though I have found that you get what you pay for.

Does your office have an Exchange server or a hoted Exchange solution?

They (SEVEN) just released an update for WM6.1, maybe it will help.

Re: Email Help?

I'm not sure what my work offers? Its a large hospital and other people use an internal client that they won't support. All I know is to check my email I go to a website that says Microsoft Access Outlook Web Access? Here is the website:
https://phsexchweb.partners.org/exch...hange&reason=2

As far as seven goes... this is the update that constantly tells you that your ppc has no battery left and disconnects? Argh

Re: Email Help?

Your office has an Exchange 2003 server so you are good on that end. What you need to do is open ActiveSync on your Diamond and setup a new sync to exchange. You will need to enter your network username and password, as well as the internal domain name for the office (i.e. partnerhealtcare.com, etc.).

There is however one caveat. Your account has to be flagged in Active Directory to be allowed to sync with a PPC. You also may or may not be required to use a server certificate. You can try it on your own but if you cannot get it to work, you will probably need to speak with somene in IT at the hospital.

Thx...

The people at my hospital will only support "treo's" and "crackberries"! I tried going behind their back once before and it didnt work.. Maybe I need to revisit this?

Re: Email Help?

Wow, they are kind of picky, heh? Yeah, I would recommend trying it first and if that doesn't work, ask them again. You never know, maybe someone will be nice and help you this time.

I know I tried and I don't know you or work with you :)

Re: Email Help?

Looks like I am pretty close... Any ideas on how to figure out what the domain would be?

rainfreak 10-19-2008 10:11 PM

Re: Email Help?

When you are at the hospital and login to a computer, do you have to add anything before your username, like this:

domain.lan\rainfreak

Or do you have a domain drop down to choose from, like this:

Logon to: <domain.lan>
<computername>

You may have to wait until you get back into the office to check.

Re: Email Help?

Usually I login with

"partners/(username)

password"

rainfreak 10-19-2008 10:17 PM

Re: Email Help?

Then Partners is your domain... though I am not sure if it would be .com/.net/.org/.lan.

You may just have to try them all... or just try partners and see if it works...

I feel like a total moron... All this time and I didn't know.

It works Great! Thanks.

What else out of curiosity can I do with "Activesync"?

Glad to hear that you got it working! I use ActiveSync to sync all of my emails, contacts, calendar and tasks from my Exchange server. It is nice because after a hard reset or new rom flash, one quick setup and all that is back and running.
