Touch for 249 - 100 - 50 - 75 = $24?
A few weeks ago, I called in to Sprint following everyone's advice on the board in regards to my mogul being a piece of $hit. Initially offered me $50 off in account credit, but was later boosted to $50 account credit and an instant $100 off the purchase.
I received the diamond, lo and behold, I run into some severe battery issues *after cycling, and in good reception area, 4 hours off full charge...* I call into Sprint and they tell me I'll need to wait 4 days for a replacement with no alternatives. Unacceptable. So I escalate it. Lady tells me to bring it into my local Sprint store (about a block away) for an equal exchange and gives me another $75 for my troubles. Total for a Diamond: $24 + Taxes. And I get to keep my mogul... This is on top of the fact that I've upgraded 2 other lines on my account to the Samsung Slider, 3 months of no bills, free EVDO on 1 line, 500 txt messages / $1/month, and 22% EPP discount. Gotta say, I'm loving Sprint right about now... |

Thanks. My Sprint bill just went up $500 to cover their losses on you. I'm totally happy for you.

What'd you do to incur a $500 O_o?
And yes, I paid for 2 months of EVDO before getting it free. |

Sarcasm, it's your friend.
Every time someone gets a great deal off sprint, they're raising the costs for everyone else. Unless there is some magic money tree they've got tucked away somewhere. |

yeah, i emailed ecare and ended up getting a 150 credit on my account, the 150 mail in, so it ends up being like 50 bucks. its an awesome phone... oh yeah, and the chick at the store gave me her number haha.. sprint's awesome!

Re: Touch for 249 - 100 - 50 - 75 = $24?
Not neccesarily. I think Sprint is more likely to let us dig into their profit margins before they allow us to dig them into the red and force them to spread out the cost. I'm sure the ecare reps have a guideline on what the max they can offer and stuff per account as to avoid having them go into the red.
*and sarcasms pretty hard to tell online...* |
