I didn't think the Diamond had IR? If it does, where's the port?

Or is it just for bluetooth? Did the first Touch have the beam setting? I don't remember, I had a Mogul.

Yeah all WM devices have this feature. Its for Bluetooth incoming beams for the Diamond. Its also for incoming IR beams if a phone has an IR port like the some WM Treo devices.

Beam handles Device to phone bluetooth pairing requests.

like when i turn on my S9 head set and set it to pair mode. a message pops up on the phone saying "Motorola S9 wishes to connect..." blah blah blah

Yes, Diamond had bluetooth only. No IR port.

I unchecked my receive all beams, it seems to have helped with my battery life some.
