Cab Style RegEdits... For the Diamond... Get em Here

3 Attachment(s)
ok, for those who dont like the registry or dont understand how to do it.... this is for you. i have always cabed up all my favorite reg edits so i can reinstall them after a hard reset pretty easily. this was liked by many others a year ago when i started sharing them.

this new Diamond, and possibly the touch pro, has a few new (different) reg edits. i figured a new start would be good.

i will cab up anyones request on the weekends and post them in the first few posts of this thread.

if you have a good RegEdit for the Diamond, post everything that need to change. Spelling must be perfect. i am just going to cut and paste.

requests must be proven to work.

a good example of what i need is....

Quote:

Turn In-Call Volume Up

Regisrty: HKCU\ControlPanel\SoundCategories\InCall
Key: InitVol
Default: 5 (usually mine was 2)
New dWord Value: 10
notice this will not work...

do you see the extra space? be careful.

must be exact if you want them to work.

you will find the older "cab style reg edits" thread here

if you need/want a registor editor... you can get phm or total commander or free. resco will cost ya.

update... all the zip files have a text file in them that tells you what we changed. cab files are in the zips as well.

REMEMBER.... for the registry changes to take effect.... you must softreset device 60 seconds or longer after installation. with the full 60 seconds.

details of the attached cabs...

BatteryAndPerformanceHack = increases battery life and adds speeds performance
NoSentMessage = removes the "message sent" message when sending text messages.
InCallVoulmeHack = Improves the incoming call volume

The incall volume thingy doesn't do anything. It's the Audiopara files located in the windows folder that control the earpiece volume.

I agree the in call volume hack does not do anything.

i played with these values a week back and had no luck then too.
