Phone goes to 1x all the time while I am in a EVDO area. Anyone else?
 

i dont understand why, but everyonce in a while i see that i am stuck in 1x. i know that i am in a evdo area. actually a strong EVDO area. i have had WAY TOO MANY sprint ppc's not to know there is something wrong.

i am running stock rom

incall reg hack
keyboard landscape hack

and that's it.

i searched and found nothing about this here at ppcgeeks.

anyone else find there device stuck in 1x?

when i soft reset, evdo comes back. hmmmm

My Sprint Touch Diamond has seen different EVDO speeds all the way up to Rev. A. Not sure what is wrong with yours. If you just got it, call up Sprint, and see if they can help you, or ask for an exchange. They will probably do overnight.

where are you located? also are you using a telus rom in your sprint pcs

I am seeing similar things. I have always had strong EV signal in my house with the Touch and now with the Diamond it will sometimes get 'stuck' in 1x and stay that way until I soft reset, its very wierd. (Sprint stock rom)

This happened to me to. To fix it, have Sprint tech reprovision your data connection.

this happened to me also but sprint tech provision didnt work...i have talked to multiple reps and some say some towers are down in my area and some say they are not..bunch of bs i opened a trouble ticket thats about all i can do? i hope this has noting to do with sprint selling there towers as i heard the purchasers are going to be able to lease them to other cdma companies like verizon, metro pcs, etc.
