Do you know of anything that will actually power the phone all the way off, without it coming back on? i.e. for travel when you know you're not going to be using the phone and want to preserve the battery. Currently you can hold the power button and turn off the phone/data, but the power never actually shuts completely off. Thanks!

Holding the power button and hitting "yes" does indeed shut the phone completely off...yours is haunted.

Does QuickMenu work on the touch diamond? If so there's an option to reset the phone on there.

QuickMenu works well on my TouchPro and I've used its soft reset quite often.

Yep, been using this app since Mogul, but didn't have a real need for during the time I have Touch, Mogul...but now it's a must for me. You can also bind your hard-key to this so that you can press it to launch app so it'll save you some time to click Program to locate it.

Re: Soft Reset app. No more removing battery cover to soft reset.

Holding the power button is not a soft reset, it truely powers down the phone to OFF.

You then have to wait 5 to 20 seconds from what I understand, before you can press the power button to turn it back on.

Your can true hardware button soft reset by doing the following:

Hold down BOTH volume keys and then HOLD the power button for almost 5 seconds, the phone will do a TRUE soft reset.
