CMDA diamond and iguidance 4... WORKS
 

before the diamond i had a mogul and sprint touch. both had built in gps but it did not work properly with iguidance since it had a problems with built in gps. i was force to use a program like GPSGATE to create a virtual com to port com2. i read the same problem occur with the GSM version of the diamond. after doing some research i found out the CMDA version of the diamond uses a different built GPS. now i'm happy to report that iguidance 4 works perfectly find without the need of a software like gpsgate to create virtual com. set iguidance to com4 are you are good to go.

Hey, thanks for the information. I am currently using the mogul with iguidance 4 and have to use gpsgate to make it work. I am holding out for the PRO have to think that iguidance 4 will also work on the PRO without any additional software since they are so similar.

eduardmc - Did you do anything other then setting GPS to com4 and baud to 4800? I tried this with iguidance 4.2 (don't think the base program is different than 4.0) and still had issues with lag. TIA

TomTom now also works with internal GPS without any other programs. Only thing I noticed is it takes a little longer to lock on some sats than GoogleMaps or LiveSearch.
