Heres something noone thought of? Haptic Feedback

Everywhere on the web it says that the touch diamond has haptic feedback

But noone here mentioned that we dont.

I looked all over in the settings, and there is no haptic feedback
and when i touch the screen there is no haptic feedback.

wonder why sprint would strip this.

any ideas

I've never heard mention of haptic feedback on the Diamond, only the Instinct. However I came across this link to a cab file that adds it to the phone dialer.

It would be nice if someone added this to the keyboard. It would make typing much easier.

the feedback they are referring to is most likely the vibrate on connect/disconnect of calls.

I have this built into my ROM. And it works BRILLIANTLY! Try using that cab or better yet try my ROM out. Its haptic feedback enabled, flip_it support on various programs, including manila landscape shortcut menu. The haptic feedback works on the entire phone.

This works great on my Diamond. Just install and then adjust the Vibrate duration for the touches from within the program. Have fun!

Edit: Updated Versions can be found here: http://touchresponse.snailslug.com/

Same question. My battery already takes too many dives in a day. Although this does sound interesting.

Been using version 2 of touchresponse for a while now. I turn it down to about 18 and love the feedback provides. haven't noticed a difference with battery life either. Only prob I have is with the occational strong vibrate out of nowhere. Maybe the newer version will fix that.

Using it for over a month, and battery seems to be the same as before I installed it. No noticeable difference at least.

what does cab mean? when I click on the links to enable the haptic feedback I have to open some program and save it and it give me jibberish I don't understand or know what to do with. are there plain English instructions somewhere on how to enable the haptic feedback when using various features?
