Just wondering if anyone elses is heating up? Mine got a little hotter than I personally think it should but I will continue testing and see what progresses.

Mine got very hot very quickly when using Slingplayer Mobile and when viewing a video on YouTube. The bottom back side just as others have reported.

Re: Heating up?

I am sure the bottom back is the CPS location. Or memory chip location. I hope this dont lead to a early malfunction!

Hmm I hope not also!

Re: Heating up?

People have commented on this on the GSM ones as well. It gets to the point that having the unit plugged for charging while it's on your dashboard as a GPS navigator might result in the charging failing, because it's too hot. Just an FYI. Hasn't happened to me, but I don't have a windshield mount either. And I live up in Canada, eh, so it's not as warm.

I thought it wasn't just me. Thanks for all the feedback and it doesn't get that bad until you start streaming videos and etc...

Mine is warm when charging so far. Normal usage the temperature seems fine. However, when i ran Skyfire on my Mogul, i thought it was going to melt in my hand. Not only did that waste the battery, but it turned the phone into a hand warmer.

Re: Heating up?

I had the Skyfire homepage on and put my Diamond on my bed for 15 mins. When I picked it up, the bottom half was as warm as a microwaved burrito....

Also heats up on Youtube streams.

I wonder if this issue shows up on the Touch Pro

Re: Heating up?

it it hot but not as hot as my samsung A920 and A500. actually I was supprised that it is not as hot as my old phone, considering things that it does.

Re: Heating up?

heat + eletronics= bad
Is this the location of the RAM that you all keep reffering to?
or some other chip?
If so, I would count on chip burn outs. Especially if it's getting as hot as you say.
Any have number readings on the temps?
Anything over the 120 Farenheit mark is "generally" bad for chips.

If it's not a chip and it's just some connections overheating, this could be a whole different issue.
What types of batt. life are you guys getting?

Re: Heating up?

This makes me concerned as the GPS on my mogul heats the thing way up, in fact, I think it's lost some functionality, I've had to travel a lot, and use the GPS for up to 3 hours nonstop helping our driver. I would at times have to open the battery cover and hold the phone by the window to get the wind to cool it off (thank God it worked), but I think they need to find a new way to make the GPS units so they dont build so much heat, really could be very hazardous.

Tryin to be funny?
I would like to know if those Sprint users who flashed their ROM to Juicy's ROM are experiencing the same battery temperature.

Seriously! Ever put a hot pocket on Hi for 4

minutes? Its not pleasant to the tastebuds. I flashed to Juicy 1.1 this morning and currently doing a battery test. I am surfing non stop to see if the battery lasts longer. And yes, yo answer question, it still gets hot but only when you stream vids or charge. Surfing around just gets it warm. Do you like hot pockets?

Re: Heating up?

I have the same problem.

The heat plus the light leak issues are really killing me!

Just not HTC quality if you ask me. :(

I wonder if the stores will get a second or new hardware revision?
