Screen Quality?

Hey I was just looking at the videos on the Touch Blog and noticed that he had to tilt it (Telus Diamond) alot to view some of the text on his Opera Browser review.

Now this concerns me, while not totally to the same degree, it seems to remind alot about the defficiency on the Sprint Touch's screen. It's total lack of viewability from certain angles. And further complaints about it's landscape mode being useless for viewing videos..

We know by complaints in the Touch forums that there are different quality screens used on that device.. Is this the same found with the Diamond?

In a few words "that would suck" pardon if that offends.

Ok! I just got it booted it and happy to say its the good screen! Not tilting necessary for viewing! But I noticed something, sound quality not as good as the Touch

Thanks for the feedback, at least that dispells that concern..

Re: Screen Quality?

that was due to the camera and the light situation he was in. that's why he was tilting it.

Screen quality is great, when you need it to be. The sound sucks, but really if you need quality sound, you'd just need to plug in headphones or even speakers :\

Is that the oil/rainbow effect I see in the center or is that just a visual effect off the protector?

I haven't seen anything like that on mine, but I've used the provided screen protector from day one. I also don't notice the same variability in viewing that my touch had, in particular, when rotating to landscape.
