Sprint Diamond New plan or original plan

well.. i know that the only phone thats tied to a plan right now is the instinct, has to be 1 of 3 spicific plans of simply everthing.. this is just gonna kill the phone trying to put it on these spicific plans, the only thing that would change from the touch to the diamond is the picture mail thats all

As per their web site the "Everything" plan is only required for the mail-in rebate, to get it back I mean.

wow this is odd, sprint just sent me form(via fax) a hard form for the 100$ mail in rebate. called them and they said everyone who buys the diamond can get rebate. all you need to to is dl the form or goto sprint store and show packing slip and they'll give you form. then send slip with form to addres.

I call to order my diamond, the Sprint rep told me that I cannot keep that plan with the diamond that I had to get a new plan, that cost $100. I asked why, he told me that the diamond is more advanced than the touch.
I don't know a lot about phones, but that just doesn't sound right to me.
I thought the touch and the diamond had comparable features one is just faster than the other with more storage. that's like upgrading your computer and your Internet provider telling you that you have to buy a more extensive Internet package.

I really want the diamond, but I can't see myself spending over $50 a month more if I have to change my plan. is anyone else going through this with Sprint or are they letting you keep your original plan

Call back ask to speak to a supervisor the phones do almost the same with connectivity etc...except for WIFI.

are you over the 2 year waiting period? if so talk to retentions and they should allow you to keep it, I had the same problem with my grandfatherd plan and had no problems after talking to retentions just make sure they note everything on your account, hope this helps

I think they are trying to get people off the old sero's. Its not that your phone wont work with the sero plans. I pretty sure they have just set it up to not accept the seros, case in point the instinct. My sero plan (personal line) had the features and extras of an Everything Plan they just never put the codes in for it to accept my plan.

the only thing extra would be the picture mail. that's only if you dont want to do pic by pic pricing. i would call again. it funny how you can get a completly different story from a different person.
