Does call recording work?
Has anyone tried recording a call with their Diamond? I used to use mVoice on the Palm, and I see they have it out for PPC's. I tried in on my Touch and it didn't work. I'm not sure if WinMo is the problem or something with the hardware? I loved being able to record conversations on my Treo, I hope the Diamond will do this!

i use the notes software that comes with the phone to record calls

Re: Does call recording work?
Are you using the Diamond? On the Touch the notes app does not work to record calls. I was hoping it works on the Diamond.

Re: Does call recording work?
I'm actually wondering about this as well. For a long time now I've used CallRec on all my Palm OS Treo's, and it's worked beautifully. The only application I can find that automatically records on Windows Mobile is VITO AudioNotes, but I have no way of testing it out until I get my Touch Pro.
Anyone out there have any experience moving from the Palm OS with CallRec to a Windows Mobile device with a similar app? |
Re: Does call recording work?
If I need to, I use the builtin recording app, or Resco Audio Recorder.
You must remember that if you need to use the conversation as evidence, it is inadmissible in court if you did not have consent of the other party. Just a little FYI... |
Re: Does call recording work?
I only record my phone calls because I have a bad memory. For example, the other day one of my co-workers called me and mentioned of a customer that I needed to follow up with, and by the time I got to work, I had forgotten that name and my co-worker was already gone for the day. Thankfully I had my recorded phone calls so I could listen to it again and remember what the name was without having to call my co-worker back and look like an idiot.

Re: Does call recording work?
Anyone with a Telus Diamond, chime in and let us know if the DIAMOND will record phone conversations. The Touch does not allow recording conversations, I'm hoping this has changed with the Diamond.

Not where I live...in Texas. In Texas, the law states that only ONE party needs to be aware that the conversation is being recorded...and that party would be ME! |
