Diamond leverage?

Hey, this might come in handy. Since Sprint made the 5gig cap on their internet, then that means they breached their contract right? SO I can quit Sprint without any ETF? Can anyone answer this?

I found this.

According to this and from what i have heard (I work for sprint) that you have 60 days from the time that you get the notice of the new policy to get out of your contract.

The cap is only for PAM or Data card users. There's no cap on actual phone usage.

So unless you were paying for Phone as Modem or have a Data card, no, you can't get out ETF free. Even if you did have a data card, you could only cancel the data card line ETF free, not the phone.

Ohh I see. For some reason I thought you can exit your Sprint contract by mentioning this. Isn't tethering considered part of the 5gb cap? I remember reading a thread about this but I couldn't find it. Well, does anyone know any leverages we can pull in convincing Sprint to give us more than 75 doolars towards the Diamond upgrade? i know if you threaten to quit will give you a slim chance.. but i hate to say i wanna quit on my 30 SERO. What if they say" Ok.. you canceled." LOL! I would sh8t my pants... LOL>?

Also... can we Touch users use the picture mail excuse. Since we cant use picture mail on this and the hack stopped working altogether

As a sprint agent myself. I can tell you the cap was imposed on tethering(Which as said early pam service) so if you had this feature on your account before the change was made to the service you could have canceled. My documentation show's it was 30 days so I beleive you can't do that now. As far as picturemail is concerned that's not an option since it's not a feature ever intended for phone so it's stopping is not a breach of contract.

If you want to threaten them say you want to port they probable still won't do much but you don't need to worry about them actually canceling service on you if they don't do anything.

I see. thxs for the info. I did try the pix mail excuse and they told me that the Touch never had this feature so they cannot help me. Any one know of other ideas?

I am in the same boat. I only have $75 credit on a phone with NO rebates. There MUST be a loophole!

How clear is "you have 60 days to decide what to do"

Since you have SERO, you are not eligible for any rebates. It has been stated before that you must have at least a $35 plan to get a IR... Am I wrong?
