hey for all you sprint owners... (not me... stuck with VZW but might drop them over this gimping crap) anyways i came across this not sure if it was posted or not:

points to a mid sept release for the diamond. October release for the PRO and pricing thats not too bad.

I just got a SERO plan before the gates closed, I got it June 21. I originally had an HTC touch, but returned it because I did not like the lag on the phone ( I previously had an Iphone on AT&T). How much will it cost me to buy this phone outright? I won't get any rebates and I don't want to pay over $400, but will they make me pay the full $500? I plan on using this phone for at least 2 years on sprint, Since SERO is such a screaming deal. Thanks for any info

if i bring my family account over (4 account total) does that gain me any leverage with possibly getting sero or a discount? (i know i should ask this question elsewhere but im here now... so if anyone feels like answering go for it... if not)

Contract discounts are 75 for 1 year and 150 for 2 years, so add 150 to 250 and its $400,

no, he doesnt. They are reliant on signing a contract as well. The $150 MIR IS the discount for signing a contract (usually given at POS instead of mail in, but is displayed as mail in as worst case), the IR is additional for signing. Same as any other phone is. Also remember any sales tax is paid on the $550, and the discounts come off after the tax is calculated (hence, *rebate*)

So, quick question...if I'm a little over a year into my two year contract, am I completely screwed because I haven't been in contract long enough?

I'd really love to get out of paying full price for this thing...

1. If you have been on your current contract, you get a $75 rebate.

2. Wait for them to show up on Ebay, they will be less then MSRP there...

The way that was worded is confusing to me, here is what I understand and have done every couple of years for a long time.

You get $150 off for having the same phone for 22 months straight. This requires a 2 year agreement to be signed on the date that you get the new devices.

Plus you can get the instant and/or mail in rebates that are available on top of that.

You don't have to be out of contract to qualify for the $150 off of the phone. I just resigned my 2 year contract, got my $70 x # of lines renewal bonus, and will be getting new phones with all applicable discounts next month when the Touch Pro comes out.

The discounts on a phone line are based off of how long you have had the same device.
