Hey, Sprint called me again this morning. They said that the diamond will be launched on the 14th but be available to be purchased thru Sprint stos on the 17th.

The release date still isn't set in stone. The 14th is their next "target" or goal... but it could easily slip to the end of the month too... it could go either way this time.

I was about to say...a big reason (aside from they keyboard) that I wanted the Touch Pro was because it had more memory + a miniSD slot.

That's not even getting into the TV Out connectivity.

What TV out? As far as I see in the specs it only has miniUSB?

And for the microSD slot, do you have an 8GB or 16GB card?

Also, I wonder if you open up the Diamond if it doesn't just have a microSD slot inside with a 4GB card. Because I know they don't make a 4GB HD that fits in there so it has to be a flash based drive and SD (or a derivation thereof) is the only thing that would work.

This isn't available for the Diamond.

For the MicroSD slot, I currently have a 4GB card, but I will be purchasing a higher capacity one soon (to prepare for the Touch Pro). All I know is that the Diamond has 4GB's that are non-removable. If it's possible to open the Diamond up and replace it, that's great. I just don't know if I personally would risk that.

It could easily be embedded flash memory... not a distinct card, but rather integrated circuitry instead.

Hey, just to update everyone. i got a voicemail from Sprint this morning stating that they are sorry for the Diamond delay and it will be available on the 14th, but thats just the launch date. He said I will be able to purchase it on the 17th for sure.
