Diamond Release Speculation Thread

Here's a small FYI...

In the chicago area, managers will be having a meeting tomorrow discussing the launch of the diamond. My manager buddy told me the launch date most probably will be like 5 days late, but NO MATTER WHAT, it will still be in SEPTEMBER.

I Should get more word no later than sunday and i'll post it up.

How can that be if Sprint never announced an official release date?

It will be released as soon as possible. Sprint knows they will sell. I'm sure they are not just trying to torture us.

Umm, everything that I'm currently looking at is showing 09/02/2008 for the launch.

Yeah, it's not going to be delayed that much. Like I said, the trainings are on the 3rd and 4th of September, so the phone isn't going to launch a month and a half later.

Didn't you say training is typically 2 weeks before? Do you think it is delayed a week or could we really be looking at end of september? When will the sheet be updated with dates? Thanks boss....

I don't think there's a set time for this stuff. I know with the 800w and Instinct the trainings were 2 weeks before the launch date. With the instinct, the advocates had their phone within a few days of the training, but with the 800w, the advocate phone came a few days after launch.
