Diamond landscape functionality
 

One of my big concerns is even though now there is an accelerometer in the phone I hear the landscape function is VERY limited such that most applications including google maps, email etc, cannot be turned to the landscape orientation because they built the phone for it to be used with one portrait style.

Anyone have any information concerning this? Thanks.


PS - I did hear that greater landscape functionality would be added to the Touch Pro

If you go to XDA dev, they have an app that applies rotation to any app than can be used in landscape mode.

what about text messaging? does it go into landscape mode so you can text esaier?

Not by default. By default only opera changes, but the file on XDA lets you switch anything including text messaging.

I believe that the web browser alraedy has that built in. From the movies that I saw on it.

speaking of, can you setup a different wallpaper for landscape, or just one for both orientations.
and does it rotate with the phone, left if left, right if right, or just one direction?
