Re: Sprint Vs. Verizon Diomond

so yet again verzion jips their customers...like always...
now with cutting out the accelerometer and the ram will this make for a cheaper phone or will it be the same price? Further with verizon's open market in its early stages, does this mean that I can buy a sprint touch pro and use it on vzw? Because I think for us vzw customers that's the only option

Re: Sprint Vs. Verizon Diomond

agreed, I have been wanting one really bad for CDMA BUT if this is what VZW is really going to give us I will jump ship and do business elsewhere. I already have been wanting to go back to ATT for the iPhone but have been trying to hold out. But something like this will certainly push me away.

When you read something that you know may not be true, but love to hear it, what do you do? The CDMA diamond, according to phonearena, will have a micro sd slot... please tell me this is news...

CDMA: http://www.phonearena.com/htmls/HTC-...ne-p_3055.html

GSM: http://www.phonearena.com/htmls/HTC-...ne-p_2876.html
But, as PhoneArena says, the information is "preliminary and could be incomplete or inaccurate". They posted a followup article with more information on the Sprint/Verizon versions just yesterday.
http://www.phonearena.com/htmls/More...le-a_3021.html

Personally, I haven't seen anything else that suggests that the Sprint/Telus phone will have an SD slot. And if you do a comparison between the Touch Diamond (CDMA) and Victor (CDMA), you'll see that the Verizon version (the Diamond) does have the slot, but the Sprint version (the Victor) does not.

http://www.phonearena.com/htmls/comp...nes%5B%5D=2847

Telus has also posted the specs on the Diamond they're releasing, and they are very close (if not identical) to the Sprint version. Nothing to suggest a memory slot of any kind.

Re: Sprint Vs. Verizon Diomond

Did anyone with VZW consider the fact that the Diamond in CDMA flavor has already p***** the FCC...it has been posted with facts on the Telus website and for the record Sprint and VZW PPC's are never different in regards to hardware....the software however is usually locking down the hardware. i highly doubt despite verizon sucking at life when it comes to lock downs is going to have different hardware specs. Being cdma and in the US we are usually low man on the totem pole and companies do not provide us with a ton of options...i just dont think htc is going to make 2 different versions.
