Re: Diamond in hand

After having the Diamond for a few weeks now, there are a few more things that bother me.

-The screen is VERY scratch prone. I ordered Applesauce polish and used it exactly as directed with no improvements to scratches.
-The battery life still has not improved from my last post. a little over 24 hours with normal use.
-Horrible voice command...Moto's is so much better
-Camera still sucks

As far as the pros go...

-Very good voice quality
-Loud and clear

A funny thing I ran into was that the 850 band is selectable on my Diamond with no hacks. I don't know if this is working or not, but definitely selectable. I also had done some registry tweaks as well as using the recommended Advanced Config app and it has seemed to help the TouchFLO performance.

The 850 band is part of the Diamond.
You can check this in the Service Manual.

What what I have read, 850 is a part of it if you get a quad band phone but most (in fact all I have seen are tri band). I have read the threads about the 850 and loss of 3G but I dont use 3G anyway.

If you carry any phone in a pocket without a screen protector, the screen will scratch. Use a screen protector or stop putting the phone in a pocket with keys, coins etc. I need to try and scratch someones iPhone to see what the iPharts mean by a scratch proof screen. Any takers ??

This brings back memories of the old PDA screen whinging regarding scratches in the late 1990's and early 2000,s

LOL

Does the Diamond not come with a screen protector like the Touch?
