You could call Sprint Customer Service and request that they tag your phone for a prl update and then it should update automatically over the air. You should use the newest one. :dontknow: |
Re: Updateing the PRL File?
I don't know what you mean sprint radio do you mean the cell tower? I have no way I knowing/lack the knowledge.
I called sprint the tech told me they cant update the prl over the air any more. That sounds like a load of crap for me. the internet cut out to. What happens if I take the phone into a sprint store and ask them to manual update the prl file and the phone is unlocked and flashed what will they say? |

Backup anything you want to save first with a backup app. That will fix it. If you take it in to a store you'll have to flash back to stock or they might not help you. ;) |
Re: Updateing the PRL File?
Ya I just flashed it back to a stock rom.
Do i need to lock it so they will not give me any problems? IT looks like its a trip to the sprint store any other suggestions still no internet on the stock ROM There dum prl file messed it up lol |

You might try using the update PRL and Profile on the shipped rom before you flash a new rom but if it's working good then you might leave it alone. I update mine all the time and I've really never had an issue. :dontknow: The PRL is just the Preferred Roaming List so when you travel around your phone knows what towers to use. |
Re: Updateing the PRL File?
For whats its worth I did figure out what was wrong
in the service menu Dial ##3282# the value was set to 0 it should be at 1 every time I would try to set the value to 1 it would default back to 0 So I took it down to stock rom then re flashed. I have read other post about this happening how common is this and why dose it happen. I can track it back to the the PRL update for sure. Thanks once more |
