Sprint diamond touchscreen not working
I have a Sprint diamond that got water or something spilled on it and it no longer responds to touchscreen, I don't want to go through Asurion and get a pixi or whatever they are offering for diamond replacements. I have a spare diamond from when I lost mine at the bar and had asurion replace, and was returned to me several months after receiving my replacement. I didn't have any of the mailers to send it back to asurion so I set it in a drawer. It appears that replacing the touchscreen from the spare is possible but I'm not good with zif connectors and such. would it be legal to clone my own esn meid or what not? I know this is a borderline zero tolerance violation, but I feel compelled to ask anyway.

No it isn't legal.

Re: Sprint diamond touchscreen not working
you dont need to change the esn, just open it up and swap the mainboards (aka motherboard).

Re: Sprint diamond touchscreen not working
Cloning of ESN's is not something we support or discuss here. It doesn't matter whether both phones are yours or not. I will leave this open for discussion on how you can change your screen out or fix it in some other manner, but no more ESN discussion.

Alright, I will try swapping the mainboards.

Re: Sprint diamond touchscreen not working
Hmm, I'm at a loss, I remove the battery and the stylus, found 3 torx screws, removed them, and part of the case seems to pop off. But it seems to be hung up on something down by the usb connector.
Next steps? I can't find a service manual for the DIAM500. Help? |
Re: Sprint diamond touchscreen not working
