yeah.. i've tried other diamonds on my computer (brother and friend) and they work fine.. its definitely the usb port.. i'm working on taking it apart right now..

Not sure if this has been said but could you download the stock/shipped rom with a pc and transfer it to internal storage on your device via bluetooth connection with your pc. Then flash it from internal storage?

I haven't had any luck getting it to connect. I would use the bluetooth suggestion, but the phone was flashed with a bad ROM and will not boot up past the HTC startup screen with red numbers...

This exact problem happened to me last week I finally gave up after 3 days of trying and went and bought a Tp2.... Only thing bothering me now is all the pics and progams Ihad on my Diamond that i didnt back up :???:

Your experience is yet another reason why the moron from htc that decided not to put a storage card slot on this device should beaten severely!! :violent1:

i agree.. the internal storage of 4GB is nice, but i'd much rather have the removable card.. you can buy 4-8GB microSD cards nowadays for under $20 ...
