how to tell if CDMA or GSM using Bell in Ont
I am using Bell in Ontario does anyone know how to tell if they use CDMA or GSM. I don't want to try and unlock my Diamond until I know. Any ideas?

if your phone has a sim card, it is gsm. if not, it's cdma. and welcome to the site!

It is most likely CDMA since Bell is just beginning GSM service, I thought. But yes...just check if it has a SIM card.

mine says p3051 or another known name for the cdma one is 6950 I thinik it is. (where serial number is)

Just to beat the dead horse some more. I am on Bell and all their phones were CDMA until the rollout of HDSPA\+ just a few months ago.
I also have the Diamond and can confirm without a doubt it is the CDMA version. |

Also you can tell by the little icon. If it's an Ev or 1x, it's CDMA. If it's E, H, etc., it's GSM.
