Help from Cell South Desire Peoples
 

I have a customer with a Desire from USCC who broke the charging port. I found some on ebay with broken lcd's I could swap the motherboard out of but I need to make sure the phone is from USCC or I will have problems activating. So, the phones on ebay all have a model number of adr6275. You can find this under the battery just above the white sticker. It matches my Desire's but I want to make sure that this number is not generic to all CDMA desires or I may run into a problem. Could someone from cell south or possibly another CDMA carrier with a Desire check for me to make sure that number is not the same? Thanks!

well.... i guess no one here on ppcgeeks has a desire..... i would guess this will not work out as you are planning, and if you happen to buy a motherboard from a stolen phone then guess what? your phone will be stolen you will not be able to activate it.... worth a try but i would rather replace the lcd on the broken one you buy and activate that if it isnt stolen as well.
