Vertical Service Codes (* Codes)
 

Hey all,

The star codes (*82, etc) no longer work on my Telus Desire. Not sure if this is due to flashed radio(32.47.00.32U_5.10.05.23), ROM (LeeDroid1.9), or something else.

Anyone else having this issue?

Any info appreciated.

what is this supposed to accomplish?

Ive never been told to or ever dialed that #.... Calling card?

If you have a blocked number *82 will unblock for a single call...
If you have unblocked number, *81 will block it for a single call...

eg. if i want someone to see my number when I called I would dial:
*82XXX-XXX-XXXX
This would unblock my number for the call so they could see who is calling.
Some people do not allow blocked callers so this is useful...

you QC people seem to have all the network funkiness there, i know a few other QC ppl who don't have HSPA at all.

That's QC for ya, 'tis an odd place...
In every other way the phone is working perfectly.
btw, when are you and Mighty releasing a ROM??
Nothing like a good Canadian ROM for those of us up north... ;)
