hey guys! i saw a blog post saying how anyone can get wp7 mango without being a developer and so I decided to give it a try. well, i'm sitting here with Mango on my Arrive! it's very easy too and took about an hour and half total. you don't even have to be tech savvy to do this. just follow the instructions on this site:http://windowsphonehacker.com/articl...oper.-06-30-11 OR How to Update to Windows Phone 7 Mango Beta for All

only catch is that you will have to create a backup your current official NoDo config IN A SAFE PLACE!!! and then when the official Mango is released in the fall, you will have to restore your beta Mango Arrive back to the NoDo backup file. this method of updating is for developers, but your phone doesnt know that you aren't a developer :evil4:

I installed it on my Arrive this morning, and it's fantastic. Custom ringtones are possible, but a bit of a hassle to setup if you're doing it manually. This is the first "new" thing I did though and worked great.

Just remember the whole "Beta" concept... backup, and expect issues.

I installed it on my Trophy (I started the Want WP7 Mango today ? thread), it works AWSOME, well worth the install.

Like said, do the backup first, then install it, you might have to uninstall it to go to the final version...

is your thread same as his or are these totally different? im asking cause i wanna either close his or merge his to yours but dont wanna confuse peeps.

I guess hes just trying to let the arrive community know that they can get mango early, there may be some arrive users that dont check the wp7 general. can't wait to see what @TexasAggie97 (when he's off his ban), @brownhornet and all the other trolls will think about this.
