Not receiving calls on Apache w/ WM6
 

Ok, now I am having a serious problem. I am NOT receiving calls and I think maybe my texting capabilities are crippled. However, I can make outgoing calls no problem. I have received a couple calls, but after testing it a lot, I must miss over 90% of calls. PLEASE HELP!!

Here is the background info.
I am on verizon using verizonguy's dev 4.
I upgraded to radio 1.41
I use PhoneAlarm Lite
I use Palgrino and Googlemaps

That is all I have on my phone. I have had this problem since upgrading to WM6. No idea how in the world this would happen. I am desperately hoping you guys can help me out

yeah so I just looked at a few modem settings in ##778 (i think thats what it is) and they look ok (modem settings). I then just reset the phone and it was getting calls, until I started palgrino... then I wouldnt get them.

The phone clearly has problems with changing between data and phone mode. Any settings that I should check on.

Also, here is another strange issue. I called *228 to program the phone again and it said, sorry the phone could not be programmed at this time on mulitple occasions.

Gah I am all confused and I just want to be able to receive calls AND have AIM running.

UPDATE: I am also usally on roaming on US Cellular and it says "Data Network Connect (dial up)..." when I click on the reception bar icon. I know this is blocking my service. but somehow when i dial out it disconnects it for a while.

It isn't on EVD0, just dial up data.

Also another question, will the dial up data connection rape my phone bill even with unlimited data?

I have the same problem too.My phone's radio is 1.41 and wm6 ROM.
I try to change another wm6 ROM and it's normal now.
so i think the trouble is in the wm6 ROM.

were you using the dev 4 rom? and then what other rom did you flash to? and do you now receive calls while data connection is open?

update: I only don't receive calls when the data connection is on/connected. it stays on after I update the weather or do anything onlinelike and then stays on and I have to manually disable it in order to receive calls and I cant get them while it is open.

I had troubles with this after a radio 1.41 and WM6 update.
Go into PST (##778) and 000000. Click Edit.
On the top pulldown, go to Modem Settings.
Check that HDR Hybrid Prefered is set to Enabled.
My was set to Disabled and it kept me from getting phone calls. I could make calls and send txt msgs all day long but could not get them.
After changing this setting, you will have to reboot the phone.
