hi, lost my radio on verizon phone when upgrading to radion 1.41. I tried to downgrade and tried the mtty tool and doing set 14 0 and no result. I can now flash the verizon rom but still have no radio. No matter what rom I try, no radio. Is my unit fried. I saw some articles from april but is there newer updated information?

You will more than likely need a new PocketPC.

Even if you get the radio back, its gone. It will work sporadically until you replace the device. Trust me, I bricked two 6700s with the radio update...

Funny you should mention that. I have 2 verizon 6700's.
This happened to my wifes phone this weekend, even though we've both had the update for quite some time.

Are you all referring to the newest radio update 1.41 (Phoenx06 Radio 1.41)?

I installed this update on mine about 2 weeks ago and now am wondering if I should reflash back to a previous version so I dont end up with a fried radio too. So far I havent had any trouble with it. But it sounds as if it just one day decides to go out.

I bought a xv6700 from Verizon a year ago. No problems ...upgraded to 1.41 lost my radio intermittently. Then one day GONE..... NO FIXIE FIXIE. Had to send to UTSTARCOM Shipping w/ insurance $10 New Main Board $75 Warranty to do all the modding I want for 90 days!!!! Oh Yeah you got it baby Priceless
