Some clarifications of different messaging

I see all these threads about mms messaging, and a whole bunch of work arounds. I have a stock 6700, and I am about to get all the internet hooked up to it on an employee plan (unlimited vision). Am I going to be able to send and receive pictures with my stock phone? What are the different types of messaging, and what does each one mean? Sorry about the question being so basic, I couldn't find any answers to this. Thanks.

Text messages - exactly what they sound like. Also know as sms. The 6700 does this in its stock form. You may need to add this to your plan in order to not be charged 10 each.

Picture message - AkA mms. You need to add a software program and do a couple of hacks to send these. In order to view them you also need to make some changes. You just need a data plan for these.

Email - You can send and receive pictures and other files as attachments with out any hacks, etc. You just need a data plan.

So MMS... If I have a picture on my phone, and I want to send it to someone's phone number, I need a hack/mod? I will have unlimited everything here in about 2 days (text and MMS and Web) so I am trying to get my phone setup to be good at MMS and Web.

Is there a how-to to make an otherwise stock 6700 do MMS? All the how-to's I have seen so far are only to make it work on a severly modded phone. I want to keep my pretty much stock if I can.
