question about wifi calling

might be a dumb question however...

i am using an apache 6700 on the verizon network...i was wondering if i am connected to a wifi signal and i make a phone call..is that considered a wifi call (dont know what the technical name is) or does it still take away from my plan minutes??

i have heard of the iphone for example can make phone calls over wifi..is the same principle applied to the apache?

Calling over wireless requires some type of VoIP. For example, using Skype over wireless to make a "wifi call." When you call via the Internet, it's just like your home desktop communicating with telephone users. You don't "call" with your minutes.
