I have the exact same problem. I had to hard reset to 'uninstall'. i could not find wxsvc.dll in \Windows. Using xv6700 with rob mayer's clean apache wm6.1 build 1.

Re: WPA-PSK Fix! Get your red-hot WPA-PSK fix right here!

You know what... my xv6700 CAN connect *SOMETIMES* to my hidden WPA wifi. I think I'll have to look for that youtube video explaining how you turn off the wifi on, off,on after waiting a few secs and see if it works for me. Weird.... BTW, is there a fix for this yet?

I just installed on my HTC Touch Diamond (WinMo 6.1) and it has no affect other than to stop wi-fi working and to remove the wi-fi option from the settings menu. However there's no need to hard reset - go to 'Remove Program' and remove the WPA Fix program, then do a soft reset. Got everything back to previous state for me.

The initial poster might want to edit the post with the download link warning against using with WinMo 6.1?
