A reburb is as good as new in most cases. I mean it is one that has been turned in and has complete diagnostics run on it and any hardware issues have been fixed. Any broken buttons have been replaced. A new screen if needed. A new case if the original was scratched or busted. The ROM will be flashed and like new. So what exactly are you afraid of? You are going to get a like "new" phone.

Keep in mind just because someone gets a NEW phones doesnt mean it doesnt have bugs and works perfectly. Even new things are broken sometimes.

I guess i am worried about a scratched screen or case, or the keyboard was loose type of stuff. I have never had to go through them to get my phone replaced it has always been other issues that they replaced the phone at the store. I went in for a bad radio ... its hardware not software tried to bring it back and they took it apart to find little dots they claimed were water damage. It has never seen a drop of water, they said that it could be condensation and that it was water damage ... ugg...

refurbs can suck. mine wasnt nearly as good as the original. some of the keyboard buttons arent 'springy' or have a 'click' feeling to them. the volume slider is not as smooth as the original. and sliding open the keyboard is not as smooth.

also, the today plugin called "wireless" displays the carrier your connected to, the wifi your connected to, and blue tooth status. well, on my refurb it would not display "alltel" when i wasa connected to my home network, it was blank. same goes for when you 'tap' the antenna/signal strenght icon at the top of the today screen. it would normally show a dialogue box that says the carrier your connected to, that was blank as well. to fix this i had to use qpst to copy a file called NVM_HTC from the old phone , before i sent it back, to the new phone. i backed up both incase i ran into a problem.

but then, who knows, maybe youll get a 6800.
