WM6 Verizon Text Message and Threaded SMS Issue
 

I have the WM6 on Verizon and the threaded SMS app.

It seems to work just fine for txt messages that do not come from the Verizon network.
I can send from my work via 10digit@vtext.com and I can get txt messages from other mobile carriers (T-Moblie and Sprint so far).

But so far anyone on the VZW Network can not send me txt messages.

Is there some sort of setting I am missing?

I have my phone locked to 1X only since I am in a so-so coverage area for EVDO and in basement of building during work day.

This is driving me nuts.

On Radio 1.10 if there is any difference or not (stock VZW radio).

Why didnt you upgrade the radio out of curiosity? I have same setup but enabled EVDO and latest radio. I get VZW texts....

I was on 1.41 radio and had an issue with not recieving phone calls. I even went through vzw tech support and they rebuilt my profile on there server. Then I did a hard-reset and let all the VZW Custom items install....still no phone calls coming in. DId a hard-reset and no-vzw custom rom items....still no phone calls....flashed to stock vzw rom with radio 1.10 and it worked.
So at this point I am holding off on the 1.41 radio.

Also, I had my wife send me a test text message. It came through but an earlier one that she sent did not. She is going to give me the character count and time she sent it and I am going to call VZW Tech Support. Its been hit or miss on txt messages from her account. Not sure why. She always gets mine. She is on a Samsung phone (new style that flips one both ways; forget the model #). So wondering if there is an issue with her phone or not.

my gf sent a text to me last night around 8:30pm and I got it around 3am. She is on tmobile. Im wondering if the text messaging problems are still going on on the network.

I haven't called VZW Tech yet. (work is getting in the way; hate it when that happens) :-)

Just got off the phone with VZW Tech Support. There answer was that I should turn off the phone each day for about 5 - 10 seconds then back on so it can pull the latest info from there towers....
Don't remember having to do that in the past.

Ya, thats what I thougt as well.

I might try the 1.41 Radio upgrade tonight and see how that goes.

I use radio 1.41 and have had no issues, and I live in BFE

Have been using radio 1.41 also, but it hasnt improved my reception at all..
