Installing MS VC
I'm trying to install MS Voice Cmd. On my 6700 it comes up with a window stating" you are loading to "". and loading into main memory is recommended. Do you want to continue YES NO"
When I select YES and load to "". (where ever that is, the 1.5 upgrade doesn't recognize that VC is loaded. When I select NO the load just aborts. How do I get this loaded into "main memory"... I don't even have a miniSD card so I know it is not loading there. I want to get this to work, because I should be receiving my Plantronics 510 HS Monday. After doing a bunch of reading this HS and MSVC seem to be the best ways to make this functional as a phone (priority 1). Any help is appreciated Truck |
First lets see if you have it loaded. Go to Active Sync on your PC, go to options/add and remove programs. Dose MSVC appear in the list and is the box checked? Then go to start up on your PC and see if MSVC has been added to this list. If you have loaded correctly MSVC should appear in both places. Let me know what you find.

The same thing happened to me. I had to delete any folders it made during the bad install, then try again. All in all it took me about 4 times until it took. Don't know if it's a problem with MS or the PPC.
Stick with it....it'll happen (eventually). |
this happens to me also...I never really looked to see where it installed, but I just hit yes and it installs and works fine. :) maybe I will have a lookcy anyways I always thought this was a problem with the "version" I have if u catch my drift ;)

Wideawake: I'm sure I have the same version
Okay, I got it to work...don't know why but this is what I did. I didn't have my 6700 connected to my computer. Installed MSSVC 1.0 on my PC again, then installed the update 1.5. After that was good. I connected the PPC and all seemed to install okay. I was getting several errors on PPC trying to install 1.0 with PPC connected or on PC then PPC. Once I updated everything on PC then connected PPC it seemed to work. It still told me it was installing at "". and recommended install to main memory...can't figure that one out...but seems to be working fine. Now to try it with BT HS when it comes in. Truck |
