Bluetooth Modem Freezes ** ADDED ** Program list
 

I can use USB Connection all day with no freezes. But for some reason Bluetooth modem hangs every now and then. Seems like when the heat gets turned on, My phone freezes through BT connection and i have to soft reset everytime to get phone active again :(

haven't had this issue with my bt and I use it to tether most the time...don't like clutter...so the phone itself freezes? with the backlight on or off?

sorry for the late reply but it happens every time so i use usb now but i want to use BT sometimes. backlight can be on or off and still freezes. the phone freezes dead and have to soft reset.

suggestion tether while its on the charger and stop all other running programs and see...or maybe u do this already :? :)

I mostly always have it on a charger when bluetooth wireless mode but still does it. I think I have yet to see it freeze up during USB mode. be on heavy use for over an hour and still fine.

not sure what's going on there and u said its always like this right? even when u got it? hard reset? mine tethers fine via bluetooth without freezing.

Are you using direct push email and is it active while tethering. I have had freeze ups with push turned on.

hmm no not using any direct push email. I recently just turned off the Timeout for Today screen (dont know what that means) because my fone freezes ramdomly even beside bluetooth. I guess a hard reset might be in store then?

this sounds like 2 programs not getting along or 1 bad one :) I suggest a hard reset and adding programs one by one (besides basic one we know r god)and testing before installing another. what do u have installed?

wow thats a good sized list u got there. Its more than likey some program.....any of them that are on the today screen installed to the minisd?

Thanks for posting that but I always use the app. Start the connection on the app then on pc start bluetooth dial up connection then they connect. So for me using the windows application is unstable :(

not a prob, then it has to be 1 or more of your programs that's causing this. if you have spb backup prog, back up everything and try uninstalling 1 prog at a time, while testing the bluetooth modem. or like mike said, uninstall everything while testing the modem. the choice is up to you!
