Verizon xv6700 flashed to cricket. Need help

Hi, I bought a Verizon XV6700 that was supposed to be fully flashed to Cricket with working wap/mms. Unfortunately, wap and mms neither work. I have searched and tried many fixes with no success. I went into the EPST and followed all the directions. At one point, the internet would access the cricket portal, but nothing else. Wouldn't load the google mobile page. Any page i try to load says "The page you are looking for cannot be found due to unknown error 0x80072f78." I tried to install the "MMS Fix Cricket WAP and Arcsoft 5_2_3_22" but it just says installation was unsuccessful. Thanks in advance to anyone who may be able to help.

Ok so I managed to update my phone to WM6.5. It definitely makes the phone a lot nicer, but I still can't get the internet to work. Is there anybody out there that can help me?

did you try building a rom in the kitchen on your own?

AFAIK cricket won't help you out with something like this, so best bet is to have one of their reps (if you get lucky and find a nice one...yeah right, it's cricket) and have them give you all the info needed to set up your internet then manually check and set everything yourself in EPST. It's probably something missing or off by a number or two in there, or settings for another part of the country so it's not working.

Thanks for the advice. I'll swing by the Cricket store today and see if I can get anywhere with them. I didn't build a rom in the kitchen, I downloaded and installed 21501_2.05 which put wm6.5 professional on my phone yesterday. Haven't had any luck with the wap/mms before or after the installation. Last night it was connecting when it dialed #777 and then saying it couldn't find any web page i tried. Now today it won't even connect. Getting tired of this phone already.

Dunno if you found this before or not.

go to settings- connections- connections. then select manage existing connections. then select edit, call the connection what ever you want, hit next, if it says #777 (then leave it allone), hit next do as followed

user name: your number@mycricket.com
password: cricket
domain: leave blank
then hit finish/ now go to proxy settings/ check off the two boxes now select advanced.

now select HTTP server type in wap.mycricket.com port 8080 hit ok
now select socks server type in wap.mycricket.com port 8080 kit ok

I found a nice cricket store where the people actually try to help. Turns out when they first activated my phone they didn't put the internet in the plan even though I've been paying for the plan with the internet. Still having problems though. I could access the cricket portal but any site I tried to get to from there would say mobile service currently unavailable try later. Now today it won't even connect when it dials #777. Thanks for the cab link. How do I install it in the temp folder? It never shows up on my computer.

I installed that cab and it actually installed. The other ones I had tried would all say installation unsuccessful. I clicked on the internet and it asked me for my password. Then it says "HTTP 404 - File not found. The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable."

I can only get on the cricket portal at http://wap.cricket.motricity.com. Anything I try to link to from there comes up with a box with a cricket symbol in it saying "error - mobile web is unavailable at this time. please check back later"

Reinstall the cab. Go to IE or Opera user name is your 10 digit number password is cricket
this is a post on howards forum about the new cricket home page http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=1566654. The motricity will error out. Also there have been reported network problems in different markets. Go through the pst setting and make sure they are all correct. Insure that you are authinticated. Try to go to www.google.com.

I'm having the exact same problem. I am using on of ryanmogul6400's roms and have installed the cad file as well. it installed, but I still end up at the Wobile Web Subscriptions page. I called cricket and they confirmed that data is on my account. I have followed every setting to a T on the epst and have set the wap on connections as well. What am I missing?

I turned off compression, and now I can go to google.com and even download the google mobile app, but yahoo forwards me to the cricket page and so does facebook
