Build Custom Rom thread on Helmi's WM6

Just wondering....anybody try to use Helmi's WM6 rom and customize it using the Building Your Own Custom Rom thread??? I just tried it and it worked. added and removed some unwanted programs.

I couldn't wait for the kitchen either.

Actually I went a little further though.

->Removed all extras for a "clean and simple" ROM.
->Trimmed & merged User & Default .hv's as text & renamed it .rgu
->Renamed the "Dump" folder "SYS"
->Put everything but .ROM & .VM in a subdirectory called "WM6_BASE"
->Replaced the "SYS" folder in the 1.04 kitchen with that.
->Removed the "OEM_" directories from "OEM"

Voila! My own personal WM6 kitchen!

CAVEATS:
There are issues with this method, which is probably why the kitchen isn't out yet.
Don't expect help with any problems created by doing this & DON'T RELEASE IT AS A KITCHEN!
When the real kitchen is ready, It'll be released and be MUCH more stable than this hack.

yeah. that's cool. I was just wondering if anyone else was that bored and impatient to do something like this. I guess I'm not the only one. Thanks

No you aren't :D :D :D

But, it is really only if you want to learn the manual process. Good knowledge though.

Yeah it's an idea if you're impatient, but the kitchen release will be a bit more stable. That and there might be extra oems in there as well.
