Calls disconnect as soon as answered

Hey,

I'm currently running the WM6 rom and radio 1.41 but I'm having a few issues.

My main concern is not being able to receive calls. The phone rings, and as soon as I press the Answer/Green button the call comes up as missed. I have read that this might be due to a setting somewhere in EPST but I'm also having trouble there...

I use GetSPC to retrieve my 'edit' code but when entering that code it just says incorrect. I'm using ##778 as the input for GetSPC and the code returned is just numerical.

Im with Telecom New Zealand. I'm also having an issue with Cellular Modem where any data sessions just return invalid password. I'm using jamamobile/telecom user/pass.

Please help :)

GetSPC takes your ESN HEX as input. It's printed on a sticker underneath your battery. It should be a mix of numbers and capital letters.

As for your other issues your phone seems pretty screwed-up. Did you try flashing back to the latest TNZ ROM (the whole package, including radio)? If not, you should do so to rule out other issues.

Assuming everything works fine with the stock ROM, then you can upgrade again, but only do the WM6 ROM--leave the radio alone. See then if your problems are solved.

I think the radio upgrade is what caused your issue. Let me know if I'm right. ;)

I noticed that radio 1.41 wasn't perfect so I went back to radio 1.27. It worked for me, hope it works for you.

to get your spc with get spc MAKE sURE when you input the ESN number (underneath battery) that you use caps for the letters, as lowercase will give you a completely different spc number, (i had this problem and figured that out), good luck!!

Hey,

Downgraded to the latest official Telecom rom with radio 1.30 and then flashed back up to WM6 with the Telecom radio. Got a mate to ring me and he reckons it rang at least four times before my one went chirping away.

I originally tried the ESN number as thats what I thought it might be but that code didnt work either. I made sure it was caps and even entered it over and over again to be sure. I also confirmed the ESN was correct by checking it out on the System Information page. Phone just borks and says unlock code incorrect.

I didnt install the carrier customizations under WM6. I let them install on the Telecom rom and also tried the ESN then but to no avail.

I dont know what to do, I really love my Apache but if it means I'm missing out on important calls (Trying to sell my Toyota Altezza or Lexus IS200 for you Americans) but yeah. Seriously considering a Nokia 6265.

But I love my Apache :(

Did you try 000000 (six zeroes) as the MSL? Many carriers (including Verizon here in the US) choose not to use unique MSL codes. Barring that I guess it's possible TNZ uses their own scheme for generating the MSL, in which case your only course of action will be to call them and ask for it (tell them you reset your phone and need to reprogram it... when they tell you to press ## and then give you a six digit number that is your MSL).

That aside, so your phone did ring--just took a while? That to me indicates it's not as likely to be a problem with your phone but more likely the signal strength at your location, or an issue with the particular tower you're connected to. Slot Cycle Interval could have a small impact I guess but I sort of doubt it.

You didn't say whether or not you saw any difference using the stock TNZ WM5 ROM. Did you leave that on the phone long enough to test calls to see if there was any difference? If not, you should definitely flash all of the stock stuff back on and see if there's any difference. That will rule out WM6 as having any connection.

A long time ago I notice a difference with the slot cycle and got my phone down to 2 rings on other side.
I think thats the best you can get and now I read that towers now have some control over it but I still like to keep the sotcycle set at zero.

Edit: also forgot to mention I have had phone jamm up on incomming calls with certain roms, but not the last 2 versions.(Wm6 & latest wm5)
