It works through activesync.

When you run the .bat file w/Activesyn running, it opens up a DOS-like window and you can see changes on your device. Looks kind of like the apachesplash program.

@schettj: yes, I changed to the 12Mb. But looking at the article that is mentioned, it looks like the big changes are when going to 4-6Mb.
I'm not that gutsy.

Uh... I'm really interested in knowing what the default page pool size is for the wm6 rom. It would be cool to know what the wm5 aku 3.5 (1.0.4) pp size is as well.

I guess I'm wondering what the tradeoff really is. Less ram, less pp, what? :D

Default for the WM6 is 7MB. I believe that 3.5 was set at 6MB

schettj 09-04-2007 07:13 PM

Thanks Colonel... So its 1MB bigger. Anyone know if the default mogul page pool was larger?

jrs 09-04-2007 07:44 PM

I tried this and it appears to work... for now. I found that I had to run EnableRapi.cab every time before running the .bat. Down to 6mb and working smoothly

I recently flash back to sprint's oem rom then back to wm6 to fix a screen alignment issue, and jeeze there's a noticeable difference in speed without it running. I'll be putting it back on my ppc asap.

All mogul ROMs are 6MB IIRC... (same as all official Apache ROMs).

Is this similar to increasing the size of the pagefile in Windows OS's. Also what memory pool does this draw from?
