Kitchen on an i730...

I have already installed the latest version of kitchen on my 6700 and have a friend that thinks it totally rad! (of course it is...) But the question that I have been trying to answer is... Can we install it on his Samsung i730? Has anyone ever tried to do this? Is this OS totally proprietary to the 6700?

O bye the way I searched for the answers to this and came up with nothing so please help...!

Not an expert, but a long-time reader of this and other boards:

You can't install any rom from this kitchen on your friend's i730 - or if you did you would probably brick it.
This rom kitchen is tailored to the Apache (PPC/XV 6700) platform. Other rom kitchens have been developed for other devices manufactured by HTC, but similar development for Samsung-manufactured phones has apparently not occurred.

simple answer: Not possible at the time.

xda-developers discovered the rom secrets a while back for HTC phones, learned the specs of the bootloader and such, and then started building kitchens for certain HTC phones, and the kitchen for the 6700 is just one that is adapted from another phone with drivers and such for the 6700. Until someone does the same for the i730, it wont happen. The only other smartphone that wasnt built by HTC that had a kitchen (afik) is the treo 650, and that was a very minimal one.

Well good thing that I didn't try it... I was very close. Thanks for the information...

Though the i760 WM6 ROM is available, and if someone was experienced with knowing how to cook they could try to get that one to work on the i730 as its much closer to the i730 specs than any HTC ones. I among others would love to get WM6 on the i730 and know some people that said they we're trying to work on that, but I haven't heard any news on anyone accomplishing it. Is anyone else out there who is able to do so up for the challenge?
