MMS and data connection question...

Hello all,

I've read some instructions on how to setup MMS for Verizon wireless sometimes ago, and it mentioned about setting up a #777 connection so that MMS can dial out whenever sending MMS.

My question is, if I am using the HTC plug-in with weather, it will activate some and use the data right? I don't want to get charged with data usage is what I'm getting at, but still want MMS feature.

What are your thoughts? TIA

I have so real simple solution. You can either set your other apps not to connect (assuming they can be set to do that) or set the corrent password in your data connection so when you use MMS you actually can do so. But remember to change your password to something incorrect so other apps cannot auto-connect out.

Yikes, seems too much problem for MMS :(.

Maybe I'll just won't use MMS and just use Texting only.
Thanks.

Yeah, i would recommend sticking with text. Pretty much any app that needs to update OTA uses the data connection, so I would recommend disabling the #777 connection to avoid charges.
