I have a WX but like the PPC6700
 

If i went to sprint today and traded my 700wx for a PPC6700,
would I receieve calls if skype or IMplus was running?

I had the older ver ppc6700 and the hack worked but on the NEW ones do they ring through?

Also, when using WIFI can you receieve phone calls?

yea u can recieve calls when using wifi. newer ones cant not do the evdo and calls at the same time. in the how to upgrade thread there is more info on which ones cant do the hack.

Thats just plain crazy, i have IM plus or skype running all the time on my WX, id miss all my phone calls

yea its crazy and really messed up, I have no clue why they dont that....damn idiots. :D anywayz so the 700wx doesnt allow for evdo and phone at the same time ?!?

No it does, in fact there is a setting under Phone to choose how it behaves (interrupt or no-interrupt) which is nice.

This leads to the conclusion that the new 6700's clearly have a "bug" as opposed to some policy change or request by Sprint.

wow hey mala is the 700w OS built the same as 700wx or do u know? I got a 700w rom just wondering if they are the same...

both are AKU 2.2.1 and Sprint added NAI control (for PAM) and On Demand and I think Picsel Viewer (not sure if that last is on the 700w).

Other than that I'm pretty positive they're the same, software wise.

yea the one he had is the older one with the red logo. not the one with the black and yellow one. so yes u can do that on those. ;)

im tryin to get my hands on a wx, crf450 if you want to trade! i believe mine will allow the ring through and wifi kablam. im tryin to get one from sprint and i think i might, but i just read this. sorry mal, not tryin to steal your deal

the manufacturers date is 3/11/2006, which means the ring through will work. i never really tried doing the hack because i didnt care to much for it. let me kno
