OEM problem - Move file or Copy file?

I successfully added several my MUST HAVE applications, and the files were correctly moved to install dir (such as Font or Program Files), but i still find the original copy under Windows folder, why was it there?

Another question, i see lots of HTC phones can delete individual call history, while latest Apache kitchen only supports Delete All History, I definitely just want to delete some of them. Any fixes?

Thanks.

Answer to Q1: Using initflashfiles to place files in folders other than Windows results in a copy procedure, not a move.

Not sure about Q2...

1. a ROM is READ ONLY. Therefore you can't move files that are in it--only copy them. As a result, everything in the ROM is in the \Windows folder. The initflashfiles simply copies some files to other locations. The original will still be in \Windows.

2. To delete an individual entry tap and hold on it and choose delete.

Thanks great guys.

With regard to item 1, does that mean i am wasting time and especially memory space to copy files to another install dir? That being said, i'd better keep everything just under \Windows?

Unless the program specifically needs to be in another folder, or it's themes do or something then it's always better to keep it directly in \Windows. Everything that gets copied by initflashfiles goes into internal storage as opposed to rom which defeats one of the main advantages of using an OEM.
