i'm just wondering if anyone is actively working on getting wm6 working for the apache in any way. i'm not asking if or when it will be done. i just am curious as to what all is going on out there.

with the release of the tytan the need for wm6 on the apache became a moot point and will never come to fruition...you should have looked at the marketing side of this first...there is no money in "updating" only in upgrading. they made the tytan to have simple nuances that only run on wm6 and the appache has its own that deem it incompatible for the most part...the best you can hope for is one of the custom roms to come as close as possible to emulate the features of wm6

I think he means are there any hackers working on it--not HTC themselves.

I know that people have and continue to be actively working on it as time permits... however huge roadblocks still remain (which you can find if you search the forum a bit).

I would say there's a 30/70 chance it will be released at this point.

That's too bad... I didn't care about WM6 before, but TouchFLO looks so slick. I'd love to be able to finger flick everywhere...

there were a couple of posts about a month ago saying that it will be released by HTC Before the year's end. If i recall correctly, they poster said that he had a 3way call with a tier 3 verizon tech and an htc or utstarcom rep and both agreed that it would be realeased before years end. there were other threads on this site with coresponding stories as well. hopefully its not just a load of shit.
