can usb be repaired...

the port is loose... I was going to charge the apache but it didn't help.. I found out the whole port just goed in.. so it's not attached.. after opening, it was confirmed..now to charge the battery I take it out and dock it...
what is the best avenue for reattaching it.. is that even possible.. the overclocking feature is missed..( in relation to other phones...)

what do you think?

I'm in the same boat as you.. In fact this is the second apache the USB port has became loose to the point it can't charge anymore..Seems they've done a poor job in connecting these. So I've been charging my batteries on the dock for past few months..

I think it should be a fairly easy fix though that just requires some soldering... I just haven't had the time to do it and I can't find my soldering gun..But I opened up my old phone and there's five connection points between the USB port and the circuit board that need to be soldered up..

Thank you webcrawler...

Would special solder be necessary?
