How to install Custom ROM on Apache?
I just got a Apache and wanted to put a Custom ROM on it. I don't see much things around this section and ROM selection. Anyone can help? Thanks!

Re: How to install Custom ROM on Apache?
The first thing to find out is what version of the boot loader does your phone have. If it's a version greater than v2.02 then it's going to be somewhat difficult to get a new ROM on the phone.
The way to find out is to reset your phone into the bootloader. This is done by holding the left-top record button, and top power button simultaneously while pressing the bottom-left reset button in with your stylus. Your screen should go dark and the backlight won't come on, then the top of your screen will say Serial and the bottom will have the version of your bootloader. Once you have that number we'll know how easy it will be to put a ROM on your phone. To reset your phone and boot it back up normally, just press the bottom-left reset button with your stylus (as you would normally to do a reset) and your phone will boot back up. |

Re: How to install Custom ROM on Apache?
I have v 2.02 (sprint phone)- where can I find some already built rom. I don't want to build my own but would like some recommendation if any pre built rom is available. TIA

You may be able to find some pre-built ROMS still kicking around on http://xda-developers.com. Other than that you might have to cook your own ROM. It's not that diffucult.
