can't access web pagesor sync contact
 

i don't know what happened but i can't access no web pagesa message keeps coming up saying ''the address is not valid check the addressand try again'' it will do that with any sites including yahoo,ebay etca sprint rep give me a # to dial on my phone in the past so it would fix this problem but i lost it can some one please help me i would be very great full and by the way does anyone know how to sync the the entire content of my phone to my computer because it only sync my media player and files but not my contact etc thanks for ur help

no clue what number ur talking about. I get the same error if I don't type in www. before the .com name. To change what u sync is to go to start/programs/activsync/ go to menu/options and select what u wanna sync with the desktop here. hope this helps.

a sprint rep gave me a # to dial i think it contained a pound sign and a like 3 numbers and it took me to a screen where i had to reconfgure my phone and do a hard reset but overall right now i can't access no web pages as soon as i type in the name of the site the error comes up help me if you know a simplier way please

hard reset can be done by holding both softkeys (- signs) and pressing the soft reset button (little hole in the bottm) all at the same tme. Note backup everything u want before doing this as it wipes the device clean.

when you start IE dose the PPC connect to the internet and go to a home page? Do you see it dialing the #777?

hard reset is a good option but some of the but i can'tsync sync my phone contact to my pc because it say's i hvae low storage i tried to put them on my memory card but it doesn't have an option to do that

never had that happen before but if u don't wanna free up space on the device, then sign up for mail2web push mail and sync ur contacts and whatever else u want to sync with their servers.

i searched and got the number it's ##786#but i was warned not to do it before i backed up the phone list because it wipes everything clean it's getting annoying because i can't leave my house because the internet on my phone is not working properly

well sync it with mail2webs servers or try deleting ur temp files and syncing if its giving u a low memory warning.

i don't want to sound stupid, but how am i suppose to get mail2web just go to mail2web.com?

try going to menu/optiins in IE and reset your home page to defalt and try again. Hope this helps. Also make sure that you are connected to the internet

wide awake i am suppose to do this from my home computer because my phone is not working right?

i went there to mail2web and try setting up an account but it kept bringing up this message tell me you're too late i kid you not so tell what i am doing wrong

i give up on that, thanks anyway that thing is trying to send me crazy i guess i am going to have toreset my phone and just put them in manually or do you have another idea

copy the file pim.vol from the root of the phone onto either a minisd or ur desktop. then after resetting rename the pim.vol on the phone to pim.old and copy the one u backed up to take directory. this is supposed to work but I personally have never tried it.

ok so here goes...

open file explorer by going to start/programs/file explorer. tap the name of the folder in the top left has a little down arrow, go to my device.

now u will see a file named pim tap and hold on this file select copy and paste it to ur minisd if u have one. if not sync with the desktop select explorer on the activsync box and find that same file named pim or pim.vol copy it to ur desktop (u can drag and drop).

hard reset

install total commander you can download at the freeware site in my sig.

sync with desktop.

open total commander and find pim.vol on the device rename to pim.old, then copy the pim.vol u put on the desktop to the device.

soft reset and this should work.

note: I haven't done this so I don't know if it really works.

thannnnnnnnnnnnnnnks wideawake you are the best for real man you are the best i got a few more questions though what is the full potential of thetotal commander do i still need the phm registry i tried the picture hack and it didn't work but i really apreciate is there a way i can rate you or something just let me know

yea total commander is a nice program if ur a power user or own a website. I say if ur gonna do reg edits being a n00b stick to phm reg edit it allows u to back up the registry before makin changes which can be nice to have. but if u ftp to a site, zip program (already in new rom), a better file explorer, and all around useful tool then stick with tc. the picture hack is simple. download the .cab from the first link and install. ur done. :D
